Devoted fans of the pop star are calling for that a man who breached a barricade and grabbed the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo immediately pulled the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by guards.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was due to attend court on the next day. It is uncertain if he was charged.

Record of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account contains videos of him disrupting other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen shared of his act.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many followers accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and injuring many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also questioned guards at the Thursday event for not being vigilant enough; while some called for online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Response and Event Details

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed surprised when she was approached by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted reassuring her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the situation, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Hundreds of supporters had congregated in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international debut in a Singapore venue, including some who had waited for as long as eight hours before it commenced.

The motion picture, to be released on November 21, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End show Wicked, which centers on the unlikely friendship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a derivative of the twentieth-century book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the good witch Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink glittering gown at the premiere while Erivo, who acts as the wicked witch, wore a sleek black dress featuring roses.

They were joined by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning movie of last year in the UK, and scored ten award recognitions, securing several for best costume and production design.
