The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in an LA Traffic Collision

The co-creator of Call of Duty, who helped create the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in California he was 55 years old.

Zampella's death was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The celebrated video game developer died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
